Pants
I hate shopping for pants. I truly truly do. Today Austin was being good and was super happy so I decided to take advantage of it and run to the Mall to see if I could use my gift certificate from Christmas and get a pair of capris at Gap or Old Navy. Yeah Right. Apparently a plain pair of jean capris just aren't made anymore. So I know that capris have been "in style" for a couple of years now but I have never invested in them because I couldn't wear the at school so, being poor college student's, why would I buy clothes that I could only wear on the weekends? Well I didn't see a point in it so I have never really gotten any. Sorry for the detour, back to the point. Now when I want jean capris I can't find them. I can find ones with big cuffs or ugly ones, but just plain Jane normal capris I can't find. Not to mention that the style right now is the knee length short (which is great) but Devon hates them therefore my wonderful trip to the mall to go shopping turned out disappointing and frustrating. Grrrrrr. There were still two good things that happened while we were out. The first was that Austin was so good. It was really nice to run errands and get in and out of the car and have him be happy. He even got in a little nap in while we were out and now that we are home he has been sleeping for the last two hours! The second good thing is that I fit into a size six pant! Now, normally I don't wear a six. I am usually and for most of my life have been a 10 but the other day the skirt I bought was a size six and I just thought it was a misprint but I tried on 3 pairs of 8's that were a little big and I fit into one of the six's. Now, I also had a pair of 6's that I couldn't even come close to buttoning, but still. I have never worn a six in my life! I am pretty sure I went from kids clothes to like a 7 or 8. And once I have more kids I will probably never be able to fit in them again so I just want it on the record that "once I wore a size six" So I was really excited, still wasn't able to find a decent pair and came home empty handed but all in all I would say it was a good trip.

I can't believe you're in a 6! Envy Envy grumble grumble. Maybe one day! You know, in heaven. LOL. Anyway. I hear you about the jeans. I do have several pairs of capris, cute ones I must say, but they're all too big so everything is being worn with a belt, but oh well. That's what you do when you're poor. LOL. I do want some of those knee length shorts. I think they are so cute, but I have no idea where to look for some. I doubt Walmart has anything cute. Anyway, have a good one, L
