Life

For the past week my sister and her kids have been here and it has been great. It has been fun to be able to spend time together and also to have our kids at the age where they can finally play (at least for a little bit) with out having melt downs. I love having her here because she gets my creative juices flowing. She inspires me with new ideas for vinyl and re boosts my spirits that often get frustrated and burnt out. This week has been full of laughing, stories, memories and kids. It has been wonderful and I can't wait until they live closer so that we can do it more often (although I am not sure that day will ever come).

Austin is doing good on potty training he has been in underwear full time for about a month now. We still have poo poo accidents about 2x a week but nothing other than that. 90% of the time he is even dry through the night. He is learning more and more words each day and I love being able to actually understand what he is saying. One thing that makes me laugh about Austin is how cautious he is. When he is running around and jumping and just being a kid he is very cautious. Sometimes it drives me nuts because I wish he would just go and play, but other times I appreciate that I don't have to worry about him as much as some other mom's I know have to worry about their kids. It's fun to watch him explore and gain confidence while playing. I enjoy that he is now at the age where he is starting to interact with other kids, rather than sitting and watching them play. I can't wait for this summer!
Kate is Kate. She is a great eater and that makes it nice. She is only nursing 3x a day now and that's nice. It's nice to have her not totally dependent on me. I like that I can leave and Devon can feed her if needed. She sits good...but that's all. LOL she is not scooting or crawling or even standing (when you hold her on your lap). She is VERY SNUGLY and I LOVE IT. She is a very content baby. She is happy to sit and play or sit and swing or jump in her jumper, yet she would also be happy if you held her for 3 hrs. When I hold her she always snuggles in and lays on my shoulder, hugs my neck and is constantly giving me loves. Devon always says that she looks like a baby monkey hold on so tight around my neck and I LOVE IT. Austin wasn't snugly at all so I am loving every minute of it.
Devon's work is already starting to pick up. It's still not quite time to start working but the phones are starting to ring. He has 2-3 appointments everyday and spends a lot of time on the computer working on bids and doing designs. This summer will be interesting and I am starting to get glimpses of how busy and unavailable he is going to be.

As for me, I have been called to be the Young Women's secretary and I have lots of stuff to do. It is really fun and I love it. This calling is already requiring me to be creative and to come up with fun ideas. I am excited to be involved with the Young Women and think it will be a good outlet for me.

That's about it for now enjoy the pictures.
