A Short Lived Sunday

Well, after getting up early so I could finish a few things for YW, getting showered dresses and ready myself. I got breakfast for Austin then we got the kids dresses and ready to go. We were even early to church because I knew I needed to talk to someone. I was so excited because we put Kate is this adorable little strawberry dress that was custom made for her by a lady on etsy (more on that to come in another post). She was so cute! Austin had lean clothes and matching socks and dry undies so we were doing great. Once we got to church I went and talked to the Lady that I needed and then went back to our seat. I just pulled Kate out of her car seat to hold her and with in 30 sec. she PUKED everywhere. Now I don't mean like baby spit up or even a little baby puke, I mean a full projectile vomit all over me, her dang new dress, the car seat, the diaper bag (which were both on the floor) and chair and the carpet and BOTH of her blankets. NICE . I just sat there a little stunned, a little grossed out but most of all not wanting to move because it was seriously puddled on my dress and if I moved then it would all fall to the floor. (Oh, and Devon wasn't there because he took Austin to get Kleenex before the meeting started) So the nice lady in front of us was like ....oh....uh.....let me get you some stuff and she quickly went and got lots of paper towels and a plastic bag to put all the puke filled items in. When Devon got back he was like....what stinks....oh! So after I moped up what I could from my dress and the surrounding area I took Kate into the mother's lounge and striped her and did a quick wash of the dress in the sink. Then we went back in, took the sacrament then I took both Kate and Austin home. Oh dear, and yet oh well LOL. So much for being so ready for church LOL!

Oooh - I'm so sorry. It always seems to happen when they have on something new and cute, too! Hope Kate is feeling better.

Your blog talks a lot about your kids' bodily functions... of course, that's a big part of parenthood when they are Austin and Kate's age... :)
