Way too long picture post!

So much has been going on around here I think it will be easier to just post pictures with captions. Hope you enjoy.

Kate loves her elephant chew toy. Thanks Aunt Laura!

Austin loves being a big brother. He always wants to help hold Kate.

These batman masks were at walmart and austin thought they were so funny.

This was a halloween party we went to the friday before halloween. It was a lot of fun!! The kids painted pumpkins, decorated sugar cookies, played with toys and tried to eat donuts from a string. It was great for the parents too becasue the kids were having so much fun we all got to sit around and chat. It was such a nice night. That night Austin wouldn't wear his dragon hood, the elastic around the head was too tight. Then on halloween I got the bright idea to cut the elastic and he wore the hood perfectly the whole night! I wish I would have thought of it sooner. Also, see the little green car/tractor/bike looking thing that this spotted frog is on. Well, once Austin got a hold of that thing he was on it most of the night. He LOVED LOVED LOVED it. It was a littl battery operated toy and he had so much fun I think we may have to get him something like that for his birthday or Christmas. It was also a great night because Kate played for a little bit to show off her cute bunny butt, and then slept wonderfully upstairs until we got home and were able to put her in her real bed.Maddox, Austin, and Bailey at Boo at the zooAutin being so nice, trying to share his dum dum with Maddox. EwwwIt's nice to have friends with kids around the same age. It was a fun fun day.

Devon and I went to a "masked" party on Saturday. I was a vampire bite victomAnd he apparently was the Mullet Monster??
I wanted to do something fun with Austin for halloween, so I did this to his hair. I was going for cool mohawk but when devon got home he told me he looked like a girl. Oops
Surprisingly Austin did great when I did his hair. He just sat there and let me put in all the elastics and never said that it hurt or ouch or anything! I was so surprised. I was ready with lots of treats to bribe him to sit still with but all I ended up needing was one at the end to say he'd be such a good boy! I can't wait unti I get to do Kate's hair for reals.

Halloween Day

Kate and her cute target 1.00 bin halloween shirt. (and just as a note, we took out my old baby pictures yesterday and she looks NOTHING like me. Her mouth a little, but that's all) I tried to have fun hair too, but you can't see it very well. It's hard to take a picture of the back of your head, lol.
Halloween night - just before the trunker treat!Checking to see if the wings really work.He new everyone was excited, he just didn't know why!!!Kate made such a cute little bunny, especially since this outfit we picked up randomly at a garage sale once, and it just happen to fit perfect at just the right time.
The little bunny tail is my favorite part!

After all the craziness of halloween we went to the park to burn a little steam off. It was a beautiful day and probably one of the last nice days we'll have.

Apparently we didn't burn enough steam. Austin found this mask in our halloween box and thought it was funny to hear himself echo when he talked with it on.

This last picture (a miracle I know) is what Austin looked like when we woke him up from his nap today to get ready for church. LOL his hair was so crazy, maybe I should have just had him sleep with wet hair for his crazy halloween hair!

halloween

Things have been so busy here. The weeks are flying by, I can't believe that it's the end of October already. Thanksgiving is in less than a month and then it will be Christmas before I blink twice. Everything is going well. Business for Devon is moving, he is keeping busy and trying to earn enough to get us through the winter. We would love it if we could be kept in your prayers. Devon has a couple big jobs that he is trying to sell right now and it would help a lot if he could land them.

Austin and Kate are doing great. Austin is finally getting old enough that he understand halloween a little bit and gets really excited for dressing up and getting candy. It makes the holidays more fun when the little ones get so excited. We have been busy the last week or so decorating for halloween, carving pumpkins, going to the library and listening to pumpkin stories, halloween parties, boo at the zoo and lots of fun with new friends!! It seems impossible to get things done around the house because we are going going going. It's been a lot of fun and we have had a great time, especially getting to know new friends.

Cute, Grumpy and Crazy

Not a lot has been going on around here. We are just trying to keep our heads above water and trying to make some money before winter comes. The kid are doing great. Kate is getting cuter and cuter every day. She LOVES her bouncer or jumper or whatever you want to call it. We set it up on Sunday and I honestly didn't think she was big enough for it yet but she LOVES IT. She will sit in it for as long as I keep her in it. The other day we were all in the family room playing and she stayed in it for over an hour! She just jumps her little heart out. I was going to post a video but I can't figure out how the stupid thing works (...this is where the grumpy part of the blog comes in) I have been at the computer for literally an hour trying to figure out how to get a video on the computer and I am not even close. The thing that makes me crazy is that if Devon were home he would have done it in like 5 min....yet here I sit. So, no dumb video today - but maybe one day. So content to just sit and jump. The only problem is that all that jumping helps her pass her gas...which always leads to a blow out! The way she sits in the jumper makes her poo go up her back every time!grrrrr
But it always makes her feel so much better afterwards. What a big jumping girl!
And this is my CRAZY son. LOL how scary is this picture, seriously. I was trying, unsuccessfully to make baby head bands out of tights - apparently I got the kind that have too much elastic in them so when I cut them they roll - but that's another story....so I had pieces of tights laying around and Austin wanted to put them on his head and this is what happened. He thought it was so funny! He kept licking the tights because it was so weird on his mouth lol. ps notice the patch of hair sticking out the top, it was funny too.
That's not the only crazy thing he does. He LOVES to walk, run, jump around with this silly green bucket on his head. Devon use to put it on his own head and use it like a hat, so when Austin tried to copy him it ended up covering his whole head. Now, this started back when we were still living in California and I thought he would do it once or twice and get over it but no. He plays with the bucket on his head at least once a day if not more. It is so funny to watch because I swear he is going to run into things but he never does. He has figured out how to look out through the bottom so he can see where he is going. To prove how much he has mastered this task, today he decided to combine it with another one of his favorite things....swifering the floor. It was so funny to watch.

Our Vinyl So Far

So, I am slowly trying to put up vinyl in the house for 3 reasons 1) so I have pictures to help sell the vinyl better, 2) becasue I want to haave a vinyl party at my house the beginning on Nov. and need to have some up. and 3) because it's way cute! and I love using it. Anyway, here is some of the stuff that I have done. Some of it I love - and some of it not so much and will probably just take down and put up other stuff and take more pictures. But non the less here they are.
Isn't this cute? Especially since he has a little race car bed! I love it! And I love it all the more since I drew the race car all by myself! Let me tell you that's not an easy task for me since I can't draw at all!

Picture updates

So Sunday before church we had some extra time and had the camera handy (it was a miracle the batteries were working) so we decided to take some pictures. Hope you enjoy.
Austin didn't really want to take pictures, that is why I don't think he is smiling in any pictures, even though we were bribing him with m&m's
So, I don't think I am a big fan of her dress, I think it's too much pink for her but oh well.
Daddy loves his kids, he's already talking about the next one. *notice Austin with M&M's in his mouth.

So, I totally know that this pict. is blurry, but I really wish it wasn't
Oh, So CUTE!

We were trying to get a picture of the two of them together but Austin would have none of it,
Kate's being a good sport though

So, we have always thought that Kate looks more like Devon, but in this picture I think she totally looks like me when I was little. What do you think mom?

I love my new bumbo and my new bracelet.

This is Kate, hanging out while mom works. She is such a good helper friend.
That's enough pictures for now. I will post again and show you all the vinyl I have been putting up in the house. I have been a very busy bee.

Good bye bink bink

So we finally had Austin say goodbye to his pacifier for good! All it took was one real night of crying. We took it from him Saturday night, but he was sooooo tired he didn't care, Sunday's nap was still no big deal because he was over due for his nap thanks to our afternoon church schedule. But Sunday night was not so easy. To make a long story short we started trying to put him to bed at a little after 8:00, and he didn't actually go to bed until a little after 10. In between I tried to lay with him, Devon laid with him, he came down and slept in bed with me while Devon was reading in the other room...nothing was helping. Finally at about 9:50 we just put him in bed and let him cry. We were going to give him 15min. and then think of another plan. After 10 min he opened his own bedroom door (the second time ever) walked down the stairs, into our room, pulled himself onto our bed, then came and snuggled between us until he fell asleep. I know I won't always feel this way, but it was so cute! It was the first time we had a sad child come sleep with us for comfort. I loved it. I know that I won't always, but for the first time, it was great. Tonight it was sooooo much easier. He only cried for about 2 min. and then just went to bed. I am so proud of him! For as much as he seriously LOVED his bink bink, he has handled this extremely well. Here is one last tribute to "Mr. Bink", our long time friend and life savor on many occasions.
